My name is Nick Petrie and I have just stepped down as the editor of the University of Birmingham Student Newspaper – Redbrick I have been involved with the paper since my first year, as a writer, a section editor and then finally editor, but have now graduated Birmingham with a 2:1 in European Politics.

I am very interested in social media and the power of communities and connections on the web – I am not quite sure what my plan is now that I have finished my degree, however I intend to keep writing here and to try and figure out what I want to do.
